Voice of Business's green innovation competition — challenging University of Dhaka students to design business models that are as environmentally responsible as they are commercially viable.
The Brief
Launched in 2019, BIZnnovation is an intra-university competition built around a single brief: pitch a business model that works for the planet and the balance sheet.
Open to students across every department at the University of Dhaka, it ran from March 27 to April 12 that year at the Faculty of Business Studies — drawing in teams eager to test sustainable ideas against real judges from finance, sustainability, and innovation circles.

2019 ThemeCompetition Rounds
From PDF pitch to final stage — how the 2019 season narrowed 60+ teams down to a champion.
Idea Submission
Teams submitted a PDF write-up outlining their environment-friendly business concept — the opening round drew over 60 entries from departments across the university.
Model Presentation
Shortlisted teams built out and presented a visual model of their idea, narrowing the field down to the strongest concepts.
Final Pitch
The last 16 teams pitched live to a judging panel of finance, sustainability, and innovation experts, competing for the top three spots.
