Mission & Vision
Why Voice of Business exists, and what we are working toward — set out at our founding in 2007 and carried by every committee since.
"A disclosure from the future professionals"
Founding mission statement, 2007Our Mission
To keep students of the Faculty of Business Studies genuinely informed about the business world as it moves — current developments, real industry practice, and the trends shaping the market they are about to enter.
Our Vision
To be the platform where FBS students sharpen the skills a degree alone does not teach — writing, networking, and leadership — while building one connected faculty community with a magazine of its own.
How We Pursue It
Six commitments that turn the mission into things we actually run, year after year.
Seminars & Workshops
Bring business leaders and industry experts onto campus so students hear how the corporate world actually operates — not just how the syllabus describes it.
A Platform to Write
Run writing competitions and publish student articles, giving anyone at FBS a place to develop an argument and see it in print.
Networking
Connect students directly with professionals across industries, building the relationships that turn into internships and first jobs.
A Forum for Ideas
Create space for members to exchange ideas and debate innovation openly, rather than waiting for a classroom to assign the topic.
Career Development
Support members through career-focused programmes — grooming sessions, Job Market Essentials, and practical preparation for what comes after graduation.
Departmental Unity
Pull students from all eight departments of FBS into one organisation, so the faculty works as a single community rather than separate silos.
